tomorrow i start a new job, though i doubt it will last. i have made a decision regarding my future- finally- and have given myself a deadline to take steps in that direction. by this time next year, i must be actively pursuing my life.

i'm not sure how the new job will be, but i promise to keep up with all y'all motherfuckers.

now let's just see which of you can keep up with me.

That's excellent that you made a decision and are setting a deadline for yourself. Good luck tomorrow at the new job. Here's hoping that it will treat you well.

Yea choice!

Oooooh I like that.

It's very you. And will serve as a constant reminder of what you have.

Good luck and keep us posted -- we're rooting for you! :)

I am running and running and running, but alas, I cannot keep up.

I stumble, I fall, I l clutch at the good earth.

Blogger jiggs said...

Something is confusing me about the choice tatoo. Did you flip the pic horizontally?

I can keep up.

Blogger melissa.in.london said...

Good luck, and nice dice!

Blogger Nick said...

I may be able to keep up cognitively, but I don't run fast or at all.

Blogger AnonymousCoworker said...

chIOce? What's that mean?

I'm just kidding, it's spelled right.

;)

OH GAWD. Me and Jiggs are thinking the same thing. Scary.

Hey, who knows what the year will bring. You'll meet new people, be exposed to new perspectives. It's good to have a goal, as long as you keep an open mind.

your tattoo looks good...
that's deep man..

i'm in limbo so i can't really go anywhere until august. then i'll start really making my life move.

but you go ahead. i'll learn from your example :D

LOVE IT! Grats on your ink. Can't wait to see all you accomplish in the next 12 months. I have something similar in the works. We can have martinis and compare notes.

:D

Shit bitch, you is bad! Roll the dice!

Blogger miss kendra said...

i only have a minute, so thanks for all your good thoughts.

jiggs and monkeygurrl: yes, the picture is weird. the tattoo is actually UPSIDE DOWN. so that i can read it. and interestingly, it appears normal in the mirror. so to me it look bitchin, but to everyone else it looks upside down and backwards.

it's a metaphor for my life.

i rule!

Good luck and shit like that

good luck in the new job. it doesn't sound like you're into it which usually means a person will quit. take care

Blogger ❉ pixie ❉ said...

I was a bit confused with the close up myself. Thanks for the clarification for the slow.

Blogger jiggs said...

you had it tattooed such that only you could read it? cool.

Everyone's gotta feed the monkey, sassafras. So if you do have a corporate job, don't stress it. In fact, I respect it when the monkey gets fed. cuz you don't want the monkey to die, do you? The monkey doesn't deserve to die.

I just read the previous post. I moved from my rural home to a huge city after high school, then came back to the rural home, where I lived and commuted to college in a small city. I moved to the small city, and have been here ever since, about 7 years now. I love it here, and I know that I couldbe happy in a bigger city and definitely be more prosperous, but would I be AS happy? If I want to see my family it is a 30 minute drive out to the country, if I want to do some serious shopping Indiapolis is 45 mintues away, I see new people everytime I walk downtown, we have plays and musicals, any nationality of food you could desire, culture out the wazoo.

My point is, I feel where you are coming from. It doesn't really matter where you go, you will always wonder.

Blogger MonkeyGurrrrrl said...

THE MONKEY MOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT DESERVE TO DIE!!!

That is so freakin cool about the tattoo!!! You know how I feel about ink (LOVE IT!) - I am really impressed. I'm just bummed you went somewhere and got penned and dinnint invite me along for the show. Which is probably just as well, since I've been jonesin' for more. . .

People are always telling me that my "?" tattoo is backwards. Yeah, um, not when I'm the one looking at it.

Looks badass. I'm blown away by your amazing kareoke prowess as well as by the fact that you were able to get out of be at a decent hour... I slept ALL afternoon, waking up only long enough to sing a brief duet with my rockstar roommate of "Turn Around" because we both had it stuck in our head(s).

Blogger FRITZ said...

GO, Miss Thang. Do whatcha gotta do to get to the next step.

It is, after all, a CHOICE.

Blogger babyjewels said...
